What is the goal of Physical Education?
The goal of Physical Education is to "help children to develop the skills, knowledge, and desire to enjoy a lifetime of physical activity" (NASPE, 2004).
When students leave my class, I want them to have knowledge and skills related to physical activities, but most importantly I want them to value physical activity for a lifetime.

What are the benefits of PE?
The benefits of Physical Education include skill development and improved fitness but also many other life skills. PE incorporates self-discipline, goal setting, leadership, cooperation, peer relationships, stress reduction, and increased self-efficacy.
To encourage a positive learning experience, I will make it a priority that every child is active, experiences a level of success, is challenged, and enjoys the activities.
